tiny tendrils
or the somewhat chaotic tales of a maker, a mother and a creative explorer
I’ve a hundred ideas in my head at any given moment, creative ones, mundane ones, ones I will forget in 30 seconds, and those that persist. These are my thought tendrils.
Woven into a chaotic tangle
some will unfurl and become my art.
tiny tendrils of delightful reverie
emerge nimble and soft
grow wild
weave chaotic
settle in strength
Here, in my newsletter, I’ll share some of these, my art, my inspiration, my process of creation, and other somewhat chaotic tales of being a maker, a mother, and a creative explorer.

Some other bits you might see from tiny tendrils:
I visited the studio of Dominique Ostuni and Delilah Pottery in Bowdoinham as part of the Maine Pottery Tour. Their shared creative space is even cozier and more inspiring than I’d imagined.
We also caught the last day of As We Are at the PMA. Jenny Ibsen and her whimsical bunny creations were a delight to study in detail. It was all 🔥. I love art in Maine.
In, it’s almost summer in Maine news, we headed up to camp to put the float in so I was able to sit in one of my favorite spots again.
I picked up Wheetle: A Little Wagon With a Big Heart by Cindy Derby at the library and we all enjoyed reading it. I was totally engrossed by the illustrations. The layers of mediums work so well and checking out her instagram she shares her initial sketches and some work along with way.
cheers! irene
